Anyone have the stomaphx procedure w/Dr. Bauman

Has anyone had the new stomaphx procedure with Dr. Bauman?  For those of you who are not familiar with this procedure it is a new FDA approved procedure that allows post gastric bypass patients to have their pouch tighten endoscopically.  I've heard mixed reviews on the procedure and I know that Dr.  Bauman told me that he has done a few so far. 

I would suggest that you fill out the patient information sheet online for Dr. Bauman and schedule a consult appointment. When you go in for your first visit they give you tons of information.  He really takes his time and answers all your questions.  He is a wonderful doctor and knows his stuff.

Thanks for the info.  However, I have researched the procedure and I need to know if anyone is having sucess with the procedure.

If you havent already I would try posting on the main board, the WLS grads and the revisions board... you should have better luck because there are more people who post that are further out.

Jennifer had an excellent suggestion.  I lurk on the Grads forum on Yahoo and they don't seem to have many good things to say about the procedure.  (That is a Yahoo group.  You can post if you have a year post-op, but I lurk as I am learning a lot from it.)

Hey Darnell!  I haven't had the procedure, but I do have Dr. Bauman's partner, Dr. Pirrello as my surgeon.  I love the practice.  I wonder if you can call the office and ask if there are any patients who have had the procedure who you could talk to  (Maybe someone has told them they will be willing to chat about it with prospective patients.)  OR maybe you could give them your contact info and ask them to send it to the patients and ask them to contact you.  Finally, you might want to go to the support group up at Northeast Medical (I know it's a drive from Columbia).  Many of the folks there are patients of the practice.  Good luck!
