Two Weeks and counting......
Well it is offical. I have completed pre-op. The papers are signed and my copays are all paid. I'm almost there. I have my reservation made at the hotel. I'm very excited. Going into pre-op I was scared that I hadn't lost any weight. I have been exercising 30 to 60 minutes a day and eating low carb. I have even cut dinner out totally (I've been drinking protein for dinner) I have also lost 10 pounds over the last two weeks. I can't believe it. I'm so excited. I'm already starting to feel better.
13 Days and I'm on the bench!!!
Congratulations!!!
Dr. Bauman is really awesome! He has been wonderful with me and I have no complaints. It was not bad at all. Where are you staying? I stayed at hotel called Mainstay Suites right around the corner from the hospital. Oh, and there are a whole lot of fun places to get your walking in around there post op. It was almost like a vacation for us! If you would like to know anything from me, just let me know. I cannot wait to see you on the bench. I have been here for two weeks, and it is awesome!

Last night I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. It was really nice. I don't know what kind of rate the mainstay had but they told me it was 65.00 a night at the Holiday Inn. I reserved it for the 1st thru the 9th. I figure I could cancel if I found somewhere nicer. The lady at the hospital told me they put up their "guest" that come at the Holiday Inn. I even spent time last night and this morning in their mini gym. It was nice I had it to myself. It felt great.
Mainstay cost us $409 for 8 nights. It was nice. We had a full kitchen, a living room, and a separate bedroom. It was nice to have the separate living room and bedroom for me. They have a complimentary breakfast, and while they do not have a gym, around the corner is a huge gym called Advance Fitness that Mainstay has a deal with where guests can work out for free.
