The Boss

It just amazes me that when you get to the point that your mentally ready how things just fall into place.  I have debated and researched having surgery for 5 years.  December last year I finally made the decision to do it.  I did talk to three different surgeons til I finally found the one.  Even though it has taken me 6 months from decision day to surgery day, it has been well worth it.  Everything has been so smooth.  My PCP being so supportive, My boss....Oh my, I just thought she would be flipped out about it.  She is so.....homeopathic....all natural.  I told her first and she said she would support me 100 percent.  Now that I have a surgery date my boss is very excited about it.  She took me out for dinner and informed me when I get to my goal weight she is going to take me shopping to "fill my closet with clothes that will fit"  I'm so excited.  My pre-op is Monday.  Time is flying and I am SO ready!! Thanks for letting me share my excitement!! Gretch

That's great news!!!  Just stay focused on what you need to do to get ready for surgery and the time will fly by and before you know it, you will be a loser like the rest of us!!!  Congratulations!!!!! Hugs, Donna

Isn't it great when you just KNOW something is right for you?  It all does seem to fall into place, doesn't it?  Your day will be here before you know it!

My pre op is at 9am.  I think my appointment at the hospital is at 11 or 11:30.  I haven't decided if I am going to drive up the night before or if I will drive that morning.  With my husband at summer camp I don't know if I want to drive up in the dark in the morning.  lol.  I guess I better figure out soon what I'm doing!

Gretch, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers on your day!  It took me 3 years to decide to have my WLS and it's been over 5 years since now.  I wouldn't go back for anything!!!!!!!!!  I wish you an uneventful surgery and very quick recovery!  See you on the loosers bench!

By the way... You had better post before pictures woman! You're gonna want to compare. I sometimes get bummed out about losing so slow, then I look at where I was 3 months ago. xoxo

Gretch,

It's wonderful to hear that you are settled with your decision and have the support of those around you. It will make the journey easier, I'm sure.

Thanks so much for sharing your excitement ... it made me smile!
