Hey Donna ~ I'm new to the board. Hope and pray everything go well!! I'm sure it will. I am 6 days post op today. Things are different but I'm excited about the change that's going to happen. I had my surgery at Durham Regional 5/8. By Dr. Dana Portenier, Loved him. All you can ask for in a surgeon. Happy Birthday!! See ya! Lori

hey donna it was great meeting you today. what were your first impressions. i learned so much i chose dr macdonald because dr naziri seems to be backlogged ( especially with endoscopy)

Hi Melissa, It was greet meeting you also.  (I left a comment on your blog).  We really had a good group of 'classmates' yesterday.  I hope we see some of them here on oh.  I especially enjoyed the twins.  My head was swimming from all the info.  I chose Dr. Mann.  I think he will be a good fit for me and as you said dr. nazari was pretty backlogged.   I am still having mixed feelings as to which surgery would be best for me, either lapband or rny.  Hopefully dr mann will be able  to point me in the right direction.  The first thing i have to do is STOP SMOKING!!!!! 

Dr. MacDonald was my surgeon! I just love him!
