Hey don't be hard on yourself...  you have just been through a major life event and if all you did was gain 2 pounds, you are doing great!  Just think what you would have gained had you not had the lap band???  maybe 5 or more pounds, right?   So sorry about losing your Dad; it's so hard to see parents health detereriorate and then fail  them all together.  Hope your Mom is adjusting.  Take care of yourself and just hop back on track and you'll see that scale drop below 200 in no time!    Alice

Please don't beat up on yourself. You just went through a traumatic experience. 2lbs is really not bad considering all you've been through.I'm sorry for your loss.

Dont be hard on yourself!  I fluctuate from time to time.  Keep your head up and look at all of the great things you have accomplished already!  We are so proud of you.  If you need to talk it out during crisis time, let me know!

I am so sorry to hear of the stunning loss to you and to your family.  When a parent dies, it is as though the world becomes a whole new place that you have never been in before.  My heart goes out to you.  And please be gentler with yourself.  I don't think it will take you much time at all to lose a couple fo pounds and then some.  We do the best we can.  And we have to remember to forgive ourselves for not doing it "perfectly."  It's "perfect" for you.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I doubt that you gained nearly as much this time as you if you had not had the surgery. I also think that you realize that what happened is an anomoly and that you can and will get back on the horse and continue to lose the weight you need and want to lose.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss and wish you the peace that time and warm memories will bring.

Barb

P.S. Where in the Rio Grande is your family from? My mother grew up in Willacy Co, in Raymondville and my cousin lives in San Benito. My 95 year old Aunt is at Golden Palms now, in Harlingen. I remember going to Padre or down to Mexico when we would come down for a visit.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad about 12 years ago and I still really miss him.

I'm glad your mother will be coming out to visit. Maybe she'll like it and stay ;-)

You may well have met my dear Aunt Nini ... Her name is Mrs. Lenore Stone. She is one of most gentle, sweet people I have ever had the pleasure to know. Her daughter, my cousin is Barbara Spangler.

Hugs to you and yours,

Barb

I am so sorry for your loss but happy that you got to see your Dad before he passed.   Two lbs is no big deal and you can get that back off in a week.   Without your band, you could have done much more damage and with what you went through with family, you should be proud it is only 2 lbs.    My thoughts and prayers are with you.   Pam

I am sorry for your dads passing, at least you got to be there to help your mom and be around him and your family. DO NOT beat yourself up over the two pounds, yes it is hard when others eat and snack all the time but you are back on track and let me know if you ever want to come over and go walking, I have a nice flat paved neighborhood we could shuffle around
