3 months out!

Yesterday marked my 3 month surgiversary. It's hard to believe its already been 3 months. Time flies when you are having fun. I'm doing great. I'm eating and drinking with no problems. I need to find recipes that use something other than chicken because I eat A LOT of chicken. haha. I have lost 41.2 pounds since surgery, a total of 66.2 since January 2nd. I'm proud of it, but like Mare said yesterday it feels soooooooo slow. But I didn't gain it overnight and I know I'm not going to lose it overnight. I have lost a total of 26.5 inches. Pictures will be coming soon. :) I still haven't had that energy burst that so many talk about. I sleep much better and my back hurts less. I've lost about 3-4 sizes depending on who made it. (sizes are so stupid!) I bit the bullet and joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. I go twice a week for training (once this week cuz I was on vacation) and now I have to work on getting in there another time or two. Anyway. Just thought I'd share my update. :) Take care everyone!!!! Becky

Congrats Becky on your sucess so far. I so understand the chicken thing. I bet I have ate 10,000 birds in a little over 2 months(my 3 months is the 25th). I wonder if PETA would be upset with the amount of chickens we eat??? Oh well. Congrats again and I hope you had a wonderful vacation! Melissa

Both of you look great. I had to take double takes to make sure someone hasn't stolen you sign on names. Keep up the good work. Later, Ken

Great job, Becky!  You are doing so well! I'm so proud of you and happy for you.  I  can't rememeber when I finally got the energy boost, but I think it was around the time you are at now... I'd have to go back and look... it does come in spurts and half the time you realzie you are doing stuff you just didn't do before... it's a weird feeling. Congrats on the great success and just know it WILL continue to come off (even if it is slow). I'm only at about 8-10 pounds a month and I was 7 months out on Sunday...  Keep up the good work girl!  Oh and I love the new avatar!

Congratulations, Becky!  You're dong great!  If you haven't already done so, check out Eggface's website for lots of great recipes that are WLS friendly.  Also, anything with fish, eggs, crab, cheese, shrimp and clams go down pretty good for me!

Becky,

Congratulations on the weight loss to date. I know it seems slow now, but in reality it is moving quickly ... When you are nearing your one year anniversary and turn to look over your shoulder, you will be amazed at the progress you have made and the time in which you have made that astonishing progress.

Wishing you continued success and all the best,

Barb

That is great Becky!   I will be 3 months out next week and also gravitate towards chicken as it is probably one of the easiest foods to go down for me.   I know we are supposed to wait for salad but I started a few weeks ago and can't get enough but of course, eat it with chicken...lol.   Keep up the good work! Yay Becky Boo! Excellent work, my sistah! Chicken is one of the things that trigger my (recently) overly sensitive gag reflex.  Seafood works best for me. I have a hard time with tuna though...and I miss it so.  Suzanne? Tuna must come with a pickle, right? Well, I can DO the pickle but not the tuna. Whah! (And you are right about clams. YUM!!) Who would have thought that a healthy food item, like tuna, would be what I miss the most? What a long, strange trip it's been. LOL Keep up the great work, Becky! xoxo Mare
