OT~Today....Oh What a Day

Okay.  I just want to vent for a few minutes.  In January my brother called me and said that he was moving to the east coast and he was going to swing by North Carolina and visit with my family.  I have flown to see my brother a couple times in the last 10 years but he has never come here.  I was very excited.  I have been married for 10 years and he has never meet my wonderful husband.  He called and said he would be here the first week of May.  So, My husband and I made arrangements to make sure we didn't have any plans this week.  My son was excited because my brother is in the AF and he is interested in the AF so he wanted to talk to him.   SO....I call my brother today because it is the 7th and I thought he would of been here by now.  He said oh we decided to swing over to Indiana instead to visit friends.  He said that he is already at his destination.  So.  I said...oh...you picked Friends over Family and he said Yes. My brother and I have been very close over the years.  I am just so....upset that he didn't even call me to tell me he changed his mind.  UGH.  Family what are you going to do with them.  I was so upset I was crying.  I had to go get a root canal today...the whole time I am just crying...tears running down my face.  Poor dentist...thought he was hurting me!   Then I get home...Find out my teenager has been suspended from school and failing three classes.  Whew....what a day.  I'm sitting here waiting to confront her when she gets home.  Well, I wont confront her but trick her into confession!!! Teenagers!  Family!.....Dentist!!  (my mouth is killing ME!!) Ok....Thanks for letting me vent...I am staying away from the kitchen....NO FOOD FOR STRESS!

You poor thing....what a day!  Hopefully things will turn around and the rest of the week will be much better!   The last time my entire family was together was 5 years ago at a wedding in MI.  My godchild is getting married next month so we all agreed to go and be in Michigan a few days with each other.  My parents are getting up into their upper 70's and they love to have us all together.  Well  I talked to my mom last week and my brother decided he wasn't coming for the wedding but would visit a few weeks later and stay with a friend.   This was the same guy who told me a month ago that he hasn't been around my 18 yr old son much and was looking forward to both of them staying with my nephew and hanging out...JERK!  Guess there is one in every family so i really can feel your pain.   Take care and good luck with a much better ending to your week! WOW and I thought my day was stressful.  I hope you get to feeling better soon.  As for your brother that was so rude of him to do that.  Did you tell him how upset you were?  I am sorry that happened to you.  Hang in there.
