Introduction
Welcome to the NC Boards. These folks are amazing here and you can get answers to most any question that you may have. You'll hear so much stuff at the seminar that it will take you a while to make sense of all of it. Just ask questions and do your research.
Congratulations on taking the first step.

Shelli,
Welcome! You'll be surprised at all the great info and support you can find on this board. I was just approved for LapBand and will hopefully have a surgery date soon. By the way, you may want to also check out the LapBand forum if you haven't already. Good luck with your journey and don't hesitate to ask any questions!

Welcome to the NC board Shelli! We have a lot of knowledge in here so ask any questions you have! Having weight loss surgery can be a scary thing but for most of us it was a health necessity and on the most part we're very happy with the outcome! I can only speak for myself but I know that if I hadn't had my WLS 5+ years ago then I probably wouldn't be here now. I thank God for my surgeon and the support given on this website, I've learned a lot from everyone!
Anyway, welcome aboard girl!!!

Hey Shelli:
Welcome to our gang! I am almost 3 months post-op and couldn't do it without the support I have gotten here. All of us go through the nervousness, excitement, scared, etc and that is all normal. I can honestly say my RNY is the best thing i have done. It is another tool to help us be successful.
If you have any questions, ask away and we will have plenty of similar experiences or suggestions.
Take care, Pam
Hi Shelli and welcome to the NC Board. This group of folks are an amazing bunch and we have lots of fun here. Hope your workup and approval process will go very smoothly and you'll join us on the losers bench real soon.
