Good morning, everyone! I just wanted to share some good news. I received an approval letter from Blue Cross on Saturday. YAY! Now, I'm just waiting to hear from the doctor. I emailed the surgical coordinator last night to see if I needed to do anything else. I'm hoping to get a date really soon! Thanks for all the advice and encouragement so far. I'm sure I will need much more in the coming weeks. Amanda

Oh - That's GREAT news. I go to Dr. Mac tomorrow so I can't be but so far behind you. I've got my fingers, legs and eyes crossed that insurance approval goes quickly and smoothly. - Iris

It took 11 days to get my letter after seeing Dr. Mac. Of course, that depends on your insurance. The waiting about did me in. I'm so impatient some times. Oh, by the way, they didn't tell me this ahead of time, but they did a blood draw and a urine sample at my appointment, so be prepared. Also, you might have to wait awhile once you get there (or you might not), but I'd bring a book or something. I waited about 2 hours. He was doing an endoscopy or something and was running behind.
