Went to the Plastic Surgeon Today
For me it was easier than the gastric bypass. The pain wasn't nearly as bad as I expected.
My drains stayed in for 8 days. I only needed pain meds while the drains were in. The first 2-3 days I set an alarm to take my pains meds evey 4 hours.
I slept in a recliner for 10 days. I stayed out of work for 3 weeks. I have a very active career as an occupational therapist.
Surprising was the back spasms from being hunched over.
Overall it was a very positive experience. Clothes fit so much better now. I went from a size 14 to 8's and 10's. The PS removed 11 pounds from my upper and lower tummy.
If you have any other questions just ask.
Take care.

Good to see your pretty face as well! I am so happy for you, and yes, it is scary. I'll keep you posted. You won't see me crying if denied. My company is "self insured" with Highmark BCBS as the administrators. I had no trouble with approval last year, but the administrators then were UHC. We switched on Jan 1, 08. We'll see. I'm not even obsessing about it or counting days. Hope to see you soon my friend.
Hugs,
Diane
