Scale woos

I know this is going to sound silly and vain, but from the beginning of my journey I weighed myself on a Taylor digital scale. Well, a few weeks ago I was at Costco and they had a nice WW scale that did .1 increments and went up to 400# so I bought it, well that was when I documented my first gain, the difference between the 2 scales. Today I weighed myself on both scales and they are about 4lbs difference, the old scale is lighter than the new one. I know it's silly and it's really about trending, but I love the lower #. But in all honesty the # on the WW scale is more in line w/ the difference in weight I typically get at my Surg. office. So...as hard as this is for me, I'll have to go w/the higher #. UGHHH!

I'm sorry Sabrina... Our scales at home also weigh about 3-4 pounds LIGHTER than the surgeon's scales--   I attribute part of it to the fact that I weight either nude or in my panties at home whereas at the doc office, I'm fully dressed minus shoes... You really never realize how much clothes weigh! Just remember no matter if it is 1 or 2 pounds more than the other scale, the weight is coming off and will continue to come off... You are doing a great job!

(((Sabrina))),

I'm sure that must be disappointing, but look at it this way ... next time you go to the Dr's office to weigh you'll do it with a smile on your face because you'll know that it's going to be very close the the number you are getting at home. I know that we are really tied to that number, but as you say it's more about trending down and you are doing a marvelous job.

Keep up the good work.

I hate scales but at the same time am addicted to weighing myself daily.  Even weigh myself at night to figure out if the scale will move the next morning.    Now how stupid is that.   I know exactly how you feel as when i go to the doc, i don't even want to drink water a few hours before.   No matter what the dang thing says...you are headed in the right directions. good luck and keep up the good work, Pam
