2 months out

Well I am 2 months out to the date and I must say there has been some changes! I have lost 41 lbs since the surgery and  a total of 75 lbs since Sept. when they put me on phentermine. I have went from a size 5x (for comfort) last summer to my new capris are 3x's!! And they have some room in them! I was doing some measurements but I don't think my DH measured in the same places since the #s were rising. We are going to try again tomorrow. I posted some new pics that we took today on a sandbar. My DH told me Wed nite he could really tell a difference. I can in places but I sure will be glad when the derriere and hips decide to remove themselves. I also walked out on the beach today and wasnt nearly as winded as I used to be when walking thru the soft sand! Mind you i was winded but I still made it up the steps without stopping! Anyways I also made a new avatar and "SMILED" this time. I still think I look like a goof! But I digress.....thanks for all the support and encouraging words that you all have shared in the last few months. I really appreciate it all.  So glad to be on the losing side of life now Melissa

Melissa,

It's wonderful to see your beautiful smile. It can be hard to see and feel all of the changes that are occuring in the beginning, but just keep plugging away. The changes are happening and will continue. Be sure to write down all of the little wows that happen day to day and week to week.

Congratulations on all of the successes you have enjoyed so far. There are so many more to come.

Wishing you continued success.

Barb

Our husbands must have attended the same measuring school!!! lol   We measured the night before surgery.  Well, we measured 4 weeks later and everything was larger!!!!  I was really upset, but then got over it - and decided to go with the larger measurements and SURELY they will be down the next time we measure.   How can a man mess up with a measuring tape?  Maybe if it had been one of those out of his tool box he could have used it correctly!!! Congratulations on your weight loss and your shrinking!!!  Keep up the great work! Brenda

Congrats on a great start Melissa!!   You have a lovely smile and don't look like a goof!  Why are we always so hard on ourselves and we don't see what others see?  I am just as bad. Take care, Pam

Thanks Pam, I guess we are hardest on ourselves because I think we see ourselves thru cloudy glasses. I don't know.... gotta work on the self esteem issue.
