Hi guys! For those of you who are having a hard time finding Fage yogurt, as well as for the budget-conscious among us (like me), I found a Greek organic yogurt that is just as good as Fage in both flavor and nutrients and costs about $1 less per 1 lb container!  It is Oikos Greek Organic yogurt.  O% Fat.  Per 1 cup serving:  9 gm carbs, 0 fat, 22 gm protein, 130 calories!  Actually I like the flavor slightly better than Fage.  This is for the plain variety.  WALMART sells it, of all places!  AND it's about a buck cheaper than Fage!

I just tried this last week.  It is good!  I fixed mine with Torani Caramal flavored syrup and some chopped up strawberries.  Just like a sundae!

Thanks for the info Suzanne, I am really into the Fage yougurt I would have never imagined I would enjoy unflavored yogurt. I do add some fruit and a teaspoon of flavored curd to the yogurt. I find it almost as good and as enjoyable as ice cream.                                                 Annie

I love it!  There are so many things we can do with it.  Replaces sour cream as a topping for Mexican dishes.  You can make a good dip with it.  I mix mine with a tablespoon of spreadable fruit for an additional 25 calaries and a whole lot of flavor and protein!  Talk about instant breakfast!

My husband does grocery shopping but guess i need to get my butt to the store and find all this good stuff.   Expand my horizons in food. Thanks, Pam

I love the Oikos and have been buying it since I found it, since Fage is so hard to find around here.  It isn't as thick as Fage, but flavor-wise it is just as good to me.  And you're right about the price!  I add sugar-free Smucker's jams to it, too, and it's great!

It's good stuff!  I believe it's made by Stoneyfield Farms, who also make regular organic yogurt.  And it's at WalMart, so it doesn't get any easier than that!  I bought up all they had, LOL!
