I have Medcost insurance and they require this...but I am having a hard time on the weekends. (I'm doing a 1200-1500 cal./per day diet) I find myself asking myself...will you be able to handle the surgery...you can't  even manage this! I've been on this diet for 3 weeks and have only lost 3 pounds!!! If I don't lose enough...will the insurance company deny my surgery?  Anyone else feel this way? Am I not WLS surgery material!!!??? All of us that had to do that felt this way at some point in the 6 month process.  You are doing great on your diet.  My suggestion would be to concentrate on not gaining rather than losing large volumes of weight.  I didn't lose a much during my 6 month diet, maybe 10 pounds tops.  They are just looking for effort and evidence that you can follow the diet.  You are doing great!  Keep up the good work and remember this will all be worth it! Take care. Ellen

Own it all, it's yours!

Thank you Ellen. It's just frustrating! But it is reassuring that others have felt the same way.
