Fist Stall
I am 3 months out and 2.5 weeks into my first stall. How long will this last. I am trying not to stress over it. I am just ready for it to be over. I am required by my nut to lose at least 10 pounds a month. I have lost over that every month and want to meet that goal this month too. If this stall doesn't end soon that is not going to be the case. I might need to add. I have started lifting weights hard this month and I know muscle weighs more than fat but I want to see the scale move.
I just got out of a 3 week stall where i lost 1 lb. It was miserable, especially for someone that weighs themselves daily. I did go to my PCP and learned that the surgery and the huge difference in our diets can throw us into hypothyroidism. In researching on the internet, I also learned that 20% of peri and post-menopausal women (don't know if you fall into this category) have hypothyroidism. Well, after testing me, my thyroid is very low and I am now on synthroid to get it back where it should be! If your stall continues, you may want to have a thyroid panel done.
Good luck, Pam
Everyone loses at different speeds and everyone stalls at times. No one can accurately predict when your stall will end, but I bet it will be soon. In the meant time, I would concentrate on getting all my protein and water in and maybe up the exercise regimen a touch. This surgery does work, the biggest challenge is to trust it and be patient.
I admit, I'm struggling with your Nut "requiring" a 10 pound loss per month. What's she going to do, reverse the surgery? Seriously though, she should be savvy enough to know that everyone is different and she's putting undue pressure on you to conform to her standards. At 3 months out, 10 pounds a month is probably realistic, and truthfully she's probably looking at your total pounds lost divided by three months. However, I'm just not a big fan of putting that kind of pressure on someone. Just my two cents worth, do with that what you like...
Take care.
