Six month Surgiversary-Goodbye to 80 pounds!

Hi everyone, just wanted to share that today marks 6 months since my surgery.  It's so hard to believe how fast this 6 months has gone by and what a breeze it has been to drop those 80 pounds.  I'm one of the lucky ones who has had a pretty easy time of it.   I been thinking of all the changes and WOWs that I've had: I eat pretty much anything I want, just keep the portions small.   I am off my blood pressure meds and the antipressant that I had been on for years. I can walk up several flights of stairs and still be able to breathe and talk. I can cross my legs again   I have lost some hair, but it's not noticable.   I can bend over and paint my toenails and still be able to breathe. I no longer have to have a seatbelt extension on an airplane. I rode several rides at Disney and had no problem fitting into the seats I've gotten use to accepting complements on how great I look.  I have really enjoyed getting rid of all my old fat clothes and buying new ones.  I've gone from a 22/24/2X to a 16.  I can even buy pants at Sams and they fit! Some of my cholestrol #s are better, some I still have to work on.  They are better, but not where I want them to be yet.  Something to work on in the next 6 months. Best of all.....  I've met some the most amazing new friends on this OH site.  You guys are the best!  Thanks for all the support!   Over the next  6 months, I plan to: 1. lose the last 40 pounds 2. get my cholestrols levels within normal range. 3. improve on my exercise committment 4. wear a swimsuit again and feel ok in it. 5. learn to accept my new body and be happy with it no matter how much skin is hanging. 6. accept whatever comes even if I don't lose another pound!   I'm healthier  and happier than I've been in many, many years.  It's a wonderful life with RNY! Thanks for allowing me to glow for a few minutes... this week I'll try to post new pics and get my scrapbook updated. Have a great weekend my dear OH friends!  Alice

Congrats on 6 months Alice!  You've had some great success both in weight loss and in realizations!  :)  Sounds like things are going well, and you're ready to complete those new goals for the next 6 months!

Congratulations Alice!

I like the fact that you are not only looking at what you have accomplished to date, but also what you plan to do during the next six months. You've made incredible changes in your life so far and I'm sure will continue to do so as you continue  your journey.
