Protein Bullets - BLECH

These things are so nasty I hate that they are convenient and have 42 grams of protein.  I miss the days when I could "chug" yucky stuff.  I take a swallow of this stuff followed by a whole grain goldfish to take the aftertaste out of my mouth.  Any other tips or tricks to keep these down?!? Susan

Orange is my very favorite and really helped me get my protein in when I was first out. I would put it in my travel mug with water and crushed ice and sip it on my way into work..........

I've not tried this, but someone I know mixes them with crystal light.  I just recently found a store locally that has them and picked up one.. but haven't tried it yet.

I  also had this problem at 1st, but what I do now is just mix it with a bunch of water...at least 20 oz.  I do 30oz. and u can also add some crystal light.  It makes it sooooo much easier for me.  Also the orange is the easiest to accomplish this with. Hope  it helps!!:)

I do them like drinking a shot (per the suggestion of another WLSer Lynn!) and they go down super fast and easy.   I just do half at breakfast and half in the afternoon. I have a case of orange I'm finishing up, but the grape wasn't too bad either.  I tried mixing them with water and crystal light and it tasted like rubbing alcohol with a bit of flavoring mixed in.  LOL Try doing it like a shooter.  :)

I drink them like Amy and do 1/2 mid morning and then rest in afternoon.   I like all of them except the orange.  The fruit punch, blue raspberry and grape are all good to me.  Taste like a thicker liquid jello. Good luck, Pam

I reallllyyyy can't do these and wish I could.  I'm 5 months out and sometimes I need more protein.  I think I might try mixing it with some crystal light.  But then again... that would be longer torture.  LOL

I just dilute mine in a 16.9 oz Aquafina. Tastes ok, and BAM! 42 oz protein already! I think you'll find it tolerable this way. Mare

It really is good if you mix it with like flavored Crystal lite - the fruit punch flavored with fruit punch flavored Crystal lite.  It does make it easy to get 42 oz of protein in.  I keep a 1/2 gallon of the Crystal lite made up cold in the fridge, pour some in my glass, sometimes over crushed ice, add the bullet and mix.  Honestly, I love it.
