Is it just me?

Is it just me that's scared I have gone through all this and I will be the only one to not lose weight?  At my 2 week check I had lost 14 pounds and I have not weighed since then - I am scared to get on the scale because I will be so disappointed if I have not lost!!!  I go for my 4 week check on Monday and I am just waiting til then to let the nurse weigh me.  Did anyone else feel like this?   Brenda

Oh Brenda!  That is SO SO SO NORMAL!!!!  We all went through the same thing and I am fighting that very monster as we speak.  I am in the dreaded 9 month stall and it's a real stall.  Like about 6 weeks with NO weight loss.  And you had better believe I am thinking it is all over for me.  I have had thoughts about having the surgery done again, or "corrected" or what-have-you because I am struggling right now.  We are SO attuned to failure because we spent our lives trying to win the weight battle alone and we failed every time. Today we have a wonderful tool that works for us and we have each other to reach out to, as you have done, and as I am doing on this and other boards (Main Forum, Light-Weights Forum).  I get the assurance and advice I need and you will too!  Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.  You will get there!  We both will!

Thanks for the understanding words.  I guess I feel I have taken the ultimate step and if this doesn't work there's nothing left.  I was expecting the weight to just fall off - and I know I can not compare myself to eveyone else - we are all unique!!!  I will just keep plugging along and not try to live or die by the scales! You are definitely not alone.  I felt that way preop and postop and still feel like "well, it's over now ... surely I'm finished losing" and then a few more pounds disappear.  Staying off the scale is your BEST OPTION!  Especially right now.  You will be so surprised when you do pop on that scale on Monday.  And if it hasn't moved a lot, remember those 14 lb and that your body is catching up.  You will be amazed at your 2 month mark!   I wish I could stay off the scale.  I weigh almost daily -- sometimes I forget, and I LOVE IT when I forget!  I would like to kick the habit for about a month and see what happens.  Man, if I could just do that!!!

Uh... yeah.  We all feel like that I am sure.  I certainly did.  What makes things worse is that I am a scale ***** and weight every single morning.  Keep your chin up Brenda!  This works.  Look all around you here!
