This may be the end of the road for me...
Don't give up and document everything including the pregnant year! One of the things this board has reinforced for me is that I need to be proactive in my health care decisions. Don't back down at the first sign of adversity! You will make it if youpersist and if you are meant to have this surgery. Trust that the greater good will prevail!
I had a similiar situation. I had gone to Weigh****chers, and in 2003 I could not find a weight with any of my Drs that would get my BMI over 35. However, I was approved (woohoo!!). I have BCBS of NC and the requirement for my was a BMI over 35 for 4 out of 5 years, along with co-morbidities. That's for RNY or Lapband. Dr. B's office would not use the current year (2007 when I had mine). DO NOT GIVE UP. I really had doubts about being approved, but I was. As Nancy said, Dr. B's office knows what they're doing. GOOD LUCK.
