I am tired of dealing with them.......... I over paid for my surgery and will not refund me for a MONTH.......... It is almost $500.00. I want my money nowwwwwwwww, not a month from now. It's not just this one instance either it has been several.......

You're not the only one.......I overpaid, I forget what amount it was, although I'm sure it is on my profile because I was pretty hot at the time.  I remember it took quite a long time, one woman was on vacation, we only cut checks once a month, they're on the desk being signed, etc.  I got a different story each time and it seems when I called the next week and spoke with the same woman, she changed the story.  In the ind, I did get my money, but I think the ball was dropped somewhere.  Hang in there girl.....it'll come. I have to say that I had some issues with the staff in the begining myself. I have worked in a much larger medical facility than this and understand how things work, but I would be told one thing one day and something different the next. I was told that they had all of my paperwork, only to be told by another person that they did not. Then I was told it had been sent to the ins. company and when I called back because I did not believe what I heard at that point, I was told it was not even ready to go! I feel like Dr. B expects alot from his patients and that is good, but they in return expect to get accurate information and not be treated like they are a problem. After all, we are the customers here. I wonder if he has the same high standard for his staff that he does his patients?????

I work in a medical practice too.   You guys need to pass this information on to the physicians!!!!!  They need to know how their patients are being treated.  Patient satisfaction does not end with the medical treatment itself!

I am with Alice.. tell the doc!  I mentioned to my doc one time something that happened with an appointment snafu and a labwork snafu and you can believe they were 1000% nicer to me after that.  The office staff called me and emailed me several times within a couple of hours after talking to my doctor about my problems to apologize and make sure I was satisfied.   I bet Dr. Bauman would not want to think this his employees were mistreating patients.

Did you go thru insurance? If so, call your insurance company and file a complaint! They take them seriously and will pass them off to a 'provider relations rep' that is specifically assigned to that Drs office/area. The insurance needs to know because you arnt the only one - hopefully others have complained and they can get on the offices case about it. Drs will get dropped from insurance plans if they have enough complaints and cant fix the issue. Im not sure who Sandy is because I dont deal with this office but hopefully shes not the office manager - if shes not call and speak to the office manager about your troubles. If she is then, as stated above, talk to the surgeon directly... many times they do NOT know whats going on 'behind the scenes'. I use to work at a Drs office and our office manager made *sure* to keep everything away from the Drs.. they thought we were just a smooth sailing ship when it wasnt the case. As for changing surgeons - many surgeons dont want to take other peoples patients... I believe your surgeon is one of the only ones that will. Dr.Voellinger may so you should give his office a call and find out.

Sandy IS their office manager.  But believe me, if you let Drs. Bauman and/or Pirrello know that there is an issue, they will talk to the powers that be and resolve it.  Sandy is an employee just like everyone else and they don't always agree with everything going on in their office.  I wouldn't switch to another surgeon because I didn't like the staff.  The staff isn't who I put my trust in when I chose a surgeon.

I also would suggest calling Southeast Bariatrics-Charlotte  to see if they accept patients who have had surgery elsewhere.....

When I had similar run-around issues from Dr. B's staff- I emailed him directly ( the link is on his website) and had asked for my records to be transferred to a Charlotte physicians office and HE CALLED me himself- he was quite concerned reg. why I was so unsatisified with his staff and he solved the problem then and there! Its worth a try. Good Luck, Sheila

I am a work in progress and I am committed to progress with the work ahead of me.....
