9 month surgiversary
This time 9 short months ago I was just being wheeled out of the operating room. Wow.. life certainly has changed for the better in the past 9 months. some of the more noteable things that have happened are:
*Ive lost 160 pounds. YES.. 160 pounds! I can hardly believe it.
*I was snug size 24.. last night I bought size 8 jeans.
*I can run and play with my kids without feeling like I am having a heart attack.
*I not only look better.. I feel better. I dont ache like I used to when I was larger.
*I sleep better.
*I no longer snore.. hence the sleeping better.
*Ive been told I was the "4th hottest teacher" on campus. Hey.. I'll take that. LOL
*Food no longer rules my life.
*I am no longer ashamed of myself and how I look.
*Men notice me and flirt!
*I seem to be able to make friends easier.. I know that has a lot to do with my newfound confidence.
*I fit into booths.
*I can sit for hours with my legs crossed or folded under me.
*I can wear about anything and it looks decent on me.
*I have not been to Carowinds yet.. but I know I will fit onto any ride there.
*People who did not know me before would never guess I was ever overweight.
*I am free from the prison of fat I lived in most of my life!!!
Anyway.. that is just a few of the things that strike me on my 9 month surgiversary. I have posted a few new pics. Check them out if you wanna!

Happy 9 months! Its amazing as more time passes how quickly it seems to have flown by. We are in such a rush rush rush after surgery then we blink and 1 year, 2 years has passed.
I feel you on the Carowinds comment - I am heading to Six Flags Saturday. I went to Carowinds a few years ago when I was smaller and was comfy on the rides... but being from Florida that park just doesnt compare to what I am use to!!!. I went to Islands of Adventure (Universal Studios) and couldnt comfortably fit on any of the roller coasters :-( I squeezed onto one - The Dualing Dragons - and could barely breathe because it was such a tight fit. Outside of the Incredible Hulk ride they had a seat so you could check to see if you fit before waiting in line... and I didnt :-( it was a horrible feeling. I look forward to going on anything and everything I want (even multiple times!) because I dont have to worry about not fitting!

We were at the beach several years ago and I wanted to ride this ride that was like a ferris wheel but it spun you all around upside down. I was mortified when I did not fit onto the ride. The sad thing is that I would LOVE to go back and ride the stupid thing, but it was at Myrtle Beach Gran Prix and they tore that place down. So there will be no vindication for me there! LOL
Have a blast at Six Flags Jenn! I know you will have a BALL!
Jennifer,
I had the exact same experience at Islands of Adventure on The Dualing Dragons! I was able to wedge myself in there, but I was horrified that I would have to get off. It was terrible and uncomfortable and scary. :( I had been having such a good time there, but that was my last roller-coaster experience...haven't even tried one since. So I'm with you...it would be nice to go back and show those dragons who's boss! :) I do love roller coasters, and now that I know I'll fit, I'll go on again and again!
