How I get my protein
I just thought I would share how I get in my liwuid protein everyday. I know some people have a hard time with getting it in and I did until I found my protein savors lol.I buy Slim Fast Low Carb Diet shakes. They come in chocolate and vanilla and actually taste pretty decent. They have
190 Calories
9gm fat
2 Net Carbs
20 gms protein
I drink one in the am , one after lunch and one after dinner...poof 60 grams of protein. I also drink 2 bottles of water with Special K20 pink lemonade drink mix. They have 5 gms of protein . So most days I avg 70 gms of protein other than what I eat. My nut. said these slim fast are the only ones that qualify for the bariatric diet. They are really tasty and I seem to have no problem with them.
Anyways I just wanted to share incase anyone needed something different. I tried the protein shakes and the bullets and I couldnt stomach them. These I can handle. Now if only Food Lion would carry them. Thank goodness for the new Wally World in Jax.

That sounds great I love the special k water lemon water too. I am wondering what do you eat for lunch and dinner in addition to the protein shakes. I really like Slim Fast Drinks better then any whey stuff.
I like the fact that you were only 4 days later then me surgery wise and your doc has you on about 1000 calories a day too. The protein comes to 670 before you have the meals.I think your NUT is right on and not starving you on 400 calories a day like I have read on here.

For lunch I usually eat some canned chicken with some pepper on sprinkled on it and a tbsp of lite ranch dressing on the side and I dip it. I dont usually get to eat all of it because my 2 yo sits there with me and its a bite for me and 2 for him. and for dinner I eat what the family eats only NO where near as much as they. I have been trying to fix healthier for them too. Last week I had some broiled chicken and green beans one nite, 1/4 of a hamburger (no bun, no cheese) with some a1 on the side, oh and I really like the inside of manicotti. We have a local rest. who's take out order has 2 in it so that is dinner twice for me. Ijust eat the inside with a little of the meat sauce. I am really a picky eater so I think I just stick to things I know I will like. Sometimes I also eat sliced turkey or chicken wrapped around a cheese stick. I have found CheeseHead tobe the best of those.
My husband says my meals are boring but I have been sticking with things I know I like!

Thanks for teh info. I can stomach some yogurt but not alot . I buy it and say to myself I am going to make myself eat it and then end up throwing 2 or 3 conatiners away becuz they ruin. I will try that that you mentioned. Thanks!
