Going on a TRIP....tips on what to bring??

We are going to DC with my 11 year old sons class to DC. I have my cooler packed with water, turkey, roast beef, chesse sticks, melba toast, and  of course my ASPRIN....lol... Can we have anit- diarrhea meds.. such as Imodium A-D???   When I travel my belly gets little upset...=(...any tips??? Thanks so much!! God Bless you all!!

Heres what I pack on road trips, I bring snacky stuff since thats what I usually eat when driving - better than hitting a drive thru! pnut butter apples celery (w/cream cheese or pnut butter) grapes soy crisps tuna lunch kits yogurt SF capri suns SF gummi bears  SF twizzlers almonds Detour Bars Fiber One Bars Whole Wheat Pretzels Turkey w/cheese and leaf lettuce (as bread)

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

lol... its ok :-) Ive spent countless hours looking at labels and scoping out products... if I can save you time by telling you its all good. You can find them at Teeter or Wally World - I forget the brand, it may be sniders? One of the 'big' well known name brands... its honey whole wheat - they are actucally whole wheat and not enriched. A good tip is many of the 'organic' products are whole wheat, not always but typically. Teeter has a good selection of organic chips/crackers/pretzels etc.  Also trader joes is always excellent... most of their stuff is whole wheat.

Great list from Jenn there!  But ask Darcie as well.  She is our resident traveler and I am sure could come up with a bunch of good ideas!  Oh and ask your surgeon about the immodium as well as the aspirin,  Aspirin can be tough on any stomach, let alone a new pouch!

I was told ok on the imodium but no to aspirins and ibuprofen and things of that nature. Have fun, Pam

LOL thanks Suzanne and yep I do travel a bit my list might have a few things you cannot have yet.. when in doubt ask your Doc

chewable Pepto Bismo tablets
Yoplait Boston Creme Pie Light and fat free Yogurt
Sugar Free jello
Sugar Free pudding
individual peanut butter (bring plastic spoons)
cheese and cracker packets
Splenda made sweets from Wally world.
Individual packets of Crystal lite
Protein bullets
instant oatmeal packets (I run the ho****er through the coffee pot in the hotel room and eat out of cups provided)
Slim Jim beef sticks

hope this gives you a few ideas, you sound like you are off to a great start!
