30 days
Hey everybody,
I've been lurking since surgery, just haven't had much to say, but I did want to share a couple of things that are going on. I'll be officially one month out tomorrow and what a month it has been! First, 30 pounds gone since surgery, wow. The weight loss has slowed a bit over the past week but I sort of expected that. I'm just now experimenting with different types of food. I've only had a couple of bad experiences and they were mostly due to me eating too fast, old habits do die hard. The worst, oddly enough, was turkey which I tried to eat with coworkers out of town and ended up having to (almost) run to the restroom! I had my one month followup with Dr. Mac earlier this week. He told me everything looked fine, and sent me across the street to the lab to have blood drawn. I'm really interested to find out how that looks, I've been so consious of my protien, vitamins, etc. I'll have to upload a few new photos, I have my neck back after all these years!!!
It's great to hear from you and I'm glad to hear that you are doing so well. You are so right about this being a learning experience. I'm still learning and I'm 10 months out today, but know that it gets so much easier. You've come through the hardest part.
Congratulations on finding your neck again ... let us know as you find other things you've lost and some things you never even knew where there.
Take care,
Barb
