I really dont care for the taste of the greek yogurt but found I liked it if I sweetened it... I was using honey but thats a lot of sugar so one day I decided to mix in some Kashi GoLean Hearty All Natrual Hot Cereal in Honey & Cinnamon. I use 1/2 cup greek yougurt 1/2 package of the cereal - mixed it up, let it sit a few minutes to 'marinate' and it was deeelicious! Its really a 'stick to your ribs' type breakfast. The cereal on its own cooked according to the package is decent too.. lacks a little flavor but good when its cold out. cereal stats - The entire packet is
Cal 150
Fat 2
Sodium 100

Fiber 5
Sugar 7

1/2 packet

Thanks for the idea.  I haven't thought about eating it "hot".  I do occasionally mix it in with Splenda and 1/4 cup of Ezekiel 4:9 almond cereal, but just eat it cold like if I had put milk on the cereal.  Gives it a little more kick that way.

I dont eat it hot - I mix the hot cereal mix in it... the hot cereal is basically like oatmeal - you have to add water and nuke to make it hot :-) I just use the cereal mix like you would granola to flavor the yogurt!

Does greek yogurt have more nutritional value then regular yogurt? Thanks, Pam

Oh yes, much more protein and less carbs.. just stay away from the ones w/fruit or flavored - the sugar is too high. Here is an example Dannon Light & Fit Yogurt versus Trader Joes 0% Greek Yogurt 6oz serving Calories 60------75 Sodium 80-------53 Potassium 230---202.5 Carbs 10---------3.75 Protein 5---------15
