Didnt know my bag was that heavy LOL

Hello Gang!
Time for my ramblings for the day... weight loss has slowed down a bit but it always does and thats ok.. today was my weigh in day and I lost one more pound bringing me to 80 lbs gone. Im happy about it and feel great. Today I had a doctor appointment with a Neurologist.. I had a funny moment today when I put my purse down the nurse moved it and said *dang that thing weighs more then you do* hahahaha I loved it! no one has said anything like that to me in years!!

Now for the scary part... I know this is off topic but all support is much appreciated from this group. I have always been a big sufferer of migraine headaches, Ive taken everything but now I have a new problem. For the past five months Ive had a burning pain on my right shoulder blade area on my back and it burns right up to my neck. My PCM gave me Neurotin which is for nerve pain but makes me feel a bit loopy, he also gave me Valium which is a great muscle relaxer. He sent me to a Neuroligist and Dr. DeMaria (not the one who did your surgery Barb lol) put me in for a Cervical Mylorgram AKA SPINAL TAP... just the words scared me as my only real knowledge about that is the stuff from the 1950s when they didnt have the stuff they do now..... thank god for the internet as I did a bunch of research as soon as I got home but Im very scared and nervous about this... Im having it done in a few weeks and even though the RNY was a much bigger *deal* this Spinal Tap has me freaked and flipping out!!!!! anyone ever have one? hubby is driving me since I have to sit totally still for 6 hours with my head elevated once it is done... can anyone dress up in scrubs and sneak in and hold my hand??? Im scared!!! I know I have GOT to get this done so they can see what is going on with the horrible pains I am having but Im totally nervous!!!! thanks for letting me ramble....

Thank you so much... Im having it done at Cape Fear hospital in Wilmington...I might freak out and run to your house.. you wont miss me.. Ill be wearing a hospital gown with my butt hanging out LOL

Oh sweetie, you must be SO scared!!!  I had the same fear when they were trying to figure out why I had that horrible fever for so long that last time I was in the hospital just after surgery, and someone said I might have to have a myelogram and I totally freaked.  If there is any way for me to be there with you and hold your hand you just say the word, sweetie, and I will be there!  Please keep me posted!  I am so sorry you have been suffering with all this pain for so long!  Share those burdens, girl, and cut them in half!!! Love you!

Darc, I mean it!  And now that I know you will be so close, you better believe I will be there!

I had pain like this a few years ago and after many tests, and various Dr. visits, it turned out to be my rotator cuff. I hurt in my neck and down my arm more than my shoulder. I had surgery and after a rather painful recovery, I was fine. I hope things work out and you find out what is going on!

Darcie      Just letting you know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this.  I am very sorry that you have to go through it.  I was having pains in my left shoulder blade but the pain shot down my left leg they did a mri and come to find out that I had degenerative disc disease (which wasnt even what they were looking for)...nothing that they can do about it right now so they gave me a tens unit which helps the pain alot in my shoulder blade.  Just thought I would share my story but like I said I will keep you in my prayers.  Keep us posted! Thanks Amanda, I tried the tens unit, massage, heat, creams, lotions, stretches, pills.. everything short of taking a knife and doing my own operation LOL I cannot lay in a MRI unit as I freakout and jumped out last time so this is the other option..I hope they find out the cause cause this really really BURNS!!

Darc, good he's going with you.  I really hate that you are having to have this done, but if something really is wrong, you know what they say about an ounce of prevention.  When is the date?  I'll go if you want.  My sis had one,actually a couple, she's the one I told you about that has that fluid and has to be taken out, hey, Pm taryn, I think she said she had it done!  Seriously, let me know girl......I'm praying for you.   Nanc
