Weight
It has been awhile since I have been back.Lost over 206 pounds since August 07 and losing quick. The only thing that was been wrong from the surgery was a massive blood clot, that almost killed me.Have alot of energy and started working 2 jobs,so I can keep busy.Doctors telling me losing to fast and I tell them not losing fast enough.
John,
I just wanted to introduce myself. I also live in Wilson. I think you work with my husband, Jason. Congratulations on the weight loss. My dad had RNY in February 2006 and has lost almost 300 pounds. He is so much healthier and physically able to participate in life now than he was before.
Anyways, just wanted to say, "Hi!" Keep up the good work.

HI,Amanda
Sorry it took awhile to reply.Having the gastric bypass surgery changed my life.Whole lot more energy now and working 2 jobs to lose more weight.Jason told me that you are thinking about having weight loss surgery. The operation caused a massive blood clot that almost killed me and that is what I'm dealing with know. But if I had to do it all over again,I would do it.Let me know if you decide if you will have the surgery.Jason told me you are thinking about it.But don't be like me and lose over 200 pounds in 8 months. The doctor is ticked off that I'm losing it to fast and I tell him I;m not losing weight fast enough for me.If you have a myspace account, you can go on mine and see how bis I was.Pushing 600 pounds 9 months ago and now under 400.Myspace account is under johnkurzawski.Well keep in touch and let me know if you decide to have operation.Tell Jason I will set up some golf time in a few weeks.
You sound like a busy guy. I've pretty much decided to have the lapband surgery, although there are times when I wonder if I should do bypass. I have an appointment with the surgeon on the 22nd and then it's just waiting for insurance approval. I am hoping to have surgery by Memorial Day, but it will all depend on insurance and how busy the surgeon is. Take care of yourself and I'll pass on the golf thing to Jason.

Welcome back.
If the docs are saying you are losing too fast I would listen... you want to lose HEALTHY, if that means losing slower then that means losing slower. Sometimes when you lose 'too fast' you are not only losing fat but fat and muscle, possibly organ tissue as well. Its important to make sure you are eating enough and trying to exercise (if possible, hard when you have two jobs!). You want to hold onto that muscle (and organ tissue!) and lose only fat.
Over 200lbs in only 7 months is AMAZING thats almost 30lbs a month - Im not sure where you started or how much more you have to go but that seems extremely fast to me. Its not a race, its a matter of being healthy and losing healthy!
