THANKS!

Hello fellow NC board participants, I know this has been said before, but I wanted to reiterate it... THANKS so much for being such a caring, loving and sweet group of people!!!  I have been visiting some other boards for various other reasons (related to what I am going through) and there are some MEAN people on OH... there is constantly something going on (arguments, etc) and it's just ridiculous.  In the entire time I've been frequenting this board (about 7 months so far), never once have I seen anything like what happens on the other boards... ANYWAY, I just wanted to say thanks for your kind words and support. I enjoy following each of your stories as we make our way to healthier lives... I guess I always knew this, but the SOUTH is nicer. :)  *HEHE* Love you all!

I agree - NC is the very best that OH has to offer. I am completely at a loss to understand the back biting and ugliness that goes on in some of the other forums. We're all here because we made the same decision to live healthier lives. The means we use to accomplish this goal should not be the sole thing that we are judged on and for. I have to agree that this is just about the nicest forum I've had the pleasure to enjoy on OH. Like you, I'm delighted that we have such a supportive and caring group of people here. It's not that we never disagree with one-another, but I believe that as a group and as individuals we are a thoughtful, considerate, respectful group of men and women. While I'm not an NC native and still consider myself a California Girl at heart, I have to say that I'm so pleased to be a part of this group and to have adopted NC as my new home.

Hi Melinda, Just a quick hello to say that I "second your emotion" but also wanted to let you know that I went to your profile page to see your latest photos and that I think you are looking just WONDERFUL and are making amazing progress with your weight loss.

Melinda: I couldn't say it better myself!!   I am originally from MI and here when you pass someone on the street, you say hey.   A few years ago on my yearly trip north, i passed this little old lady and say hey and she grabbed her purse and almost ran!  lmao. I don't think I could have made the decision for RNY without all of you wonderful ppl!! Pam

I just wanted to make sure you all knew I appreciated you. :) Thanks for the positive comments on my weight loss. I'm officially 125 pounds down total and 86 since surgery. I feel great!!! (Dancing the happy gig)
