HELLO ALL
Just wanted to give you an update on Mom's surgery. She came through and is being released tomorrow to go back to the nursing home near where we live. We are very happy that things went well and her doctor is pleased.
I am still getting tired easily and have not been able to resume exercising as much as I know I need to by this time (banded 2/26), due to all this running around for Mom. I am on soft foods and have had no problems with any of them. However, I have had to take stool softeners and although still eating high protein and low calorie, have stopped losing weight. You all know how this is making me feel. I don't know if it is just a combination of things at this point; I can only wait and keep trying to do what I am supposed to. I go for my first adjustment or "fill" on April 14th. I know I need to stay off the scales for a few days as I will not lose as fast as you RNY'ers. One of the hardest things for me has been not drinking at all with my little meals. Breakfast is the worst. I like my coffee (even decaf :) and high protein wheat toast together, not separate. ha! But if that is the worst life has to offer, I think I'll make it.
Thanks for giving me a place to talk. Blessings to all. Linda
