Six month check up today
I just got back from G'Vegas and saw Dr. Mann. He said I looked fantastic!! my labs were perfect, no deficiencys and hes very pleased with my progress. I told him I ate some chocolate on Easter and he started laughing. He said there is nothing wrong with having a treat every once in awhile, just keep it in moderation. I am one of those people who do not dump off chocolate, but I do get yucky off things like Oreo milkshakes that are suppose to be sugar free (my trip to California huge dumping episode on the freeway) Dr. Mann is always fun to talk about working out with and he LOVES and I do mean LOVES pushups!! I also asked him what I should be shooting for as far as a ideal weight, he said everyone is different and too many people get *stuck* and hung up on *numbers and scales* he says your body will tell you when you are at your ideal weight and not to get all crazy about it
I also told him I am not drinking 60 oz of water a day, he said water is another thing people get a bit nutzo over.. yes it is great for your body but he knows I really despise water and he said that drinking crystal lite is fine for me, as long as Im staying hydrated Im great. I will not see him for six more months and that will put me at my one year out mark in September... my my how time has flown!!!

It is great to hear that everything is going well. You have done great on your weight loss. I agree with him. We are all different and getting ourselves off of worrying how we compare to others will make us appreciate our own weight loss more. It is hard though not to worry if we are where we are supposed to be. I asked my dr too and he tells me the same thing. We are all different. Chocolate doesn't bother me either. I had a bite of a brownie once, a taste of icing off of a b-day cake, and a little bit of a rice krispie treat. I think that if we allow ourselves little treats in moderation it will keep us happy.
You have done really well. It is really hard to get all tha****er in. I like crystal lite too, it makes it easier to ge****er in. Keep up the great work!

Darc,

THIS IS MY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah Darcie!
I should have mine in a few weeks, I hope it's as successful as yours! It's kind of nice at this point, isn't it? You have figured out what kinds of things your pouch likes and doesn't like. I'm with you on the things that are supposed to be sugar free. They don't settle well with me. I'm better off having one bite of my husband's full-fledged chocolate cake or key lime pie or whatever he must have that day. :)
Congrats on your great labs and progress! You look fab-u-less!!!
