I only asked for ONE!!!!

Okay..so i have kind of a funny story that happened yesterday that made me giggle!! I went to Greenville for my 2 week post follow-up with my Dr. and we ran into lunch time, so i decided to brave it and eat out. Well I made the choice of IHOP, since eggs and cheese are on my diet :) While my family ordered their yummy monstrous plates, I ordered 1 egg (eggbeater) with cheese!!! THAT's IT!! The waitress, was like do you want 2? I said, Nope just 1 thanks!! And off she went... A while later she comes with our food and TA-DA....she sets down my heaping pile of eggs and said, " Oh I went ahead and gave you 2 anyways" LMAOOOOOOOO I was like, uhmmm THANKS!! And laughed and told my hubby, She didnt believe the fat girl could survive off from 1 egg!!  Dare they give me more food if i had a regular size portioned plate..NEVER But when I order 1 egg w/ cheese because that's all i can eat..she doubles the order courtesy of her!! hahaha!! I just thought it was pretty humorous and had to share I suppose if she really knew why I ordered what I did, she would probably feel like a big dodo!!

I wish I had ran into you yesterday, I was at Dr. Penders office as well.  I can't believe that the waitress did that.  I guess people think that we are not small people there is no way we can eat small portions.  My husband out eats me at every meal and always has.  Oh well you got the last laugh, I bet you couldn't even fini**** could you?   How are you recovering?  I am waiting on my surgery date now!!

LOL!  That's a good story, Jami!  Looks like she was having more trouble "getting her head around it" than you are!  Keep us the great work!

That is funny. Wait till you go and get a kids meal and they try to give you food because they think you don't have the money. I am very underweight and people try to buy me food. "honey if you eat I will buy you something" it is nice but a little much for me.....you will have many funny thing to happen during your journey....oh and not drinking with meals. They bring you something to drink "on the house" lol....lol...

Oh yeah, Amy!  The not ordering drinks has caused more problems.  At first you say you don't want anything, then the waitress comes back in a few minutes and asks if I've decided what I'd like to drink, then she tries to talk you into something.  They just can't understand why you wouldn't want something to drink!  :)  So now I just order water to save the trouble.  :)   I'll usually have a sip or two anyways if we sit there long enough.

When I first had my surgery we were out of the country and even while traveling back I would order the soup and ask that the server just bring out the broth. I would explain that I just had surgery and could only eat broth. The only problem I have ever had was in the Budweiser Restuarant in the Atlanta Airport where the server refused to give me just broth and told me I had to take the soup the way it was . Which I honestly think was him and not the place as he also refused to give the woman at the next table a large diet coke as he said you were only allowed beer int eh big glasses. She then just walked up to the bar and got what she wanted. It takes all kinds.My only thought at IHOP was some times it is cheaper to get the specific combos and they feel like they are saving you money. Bless their hearts LOL

That is hilarious Jamie.   I am 5 weeks post and still afraid to eat out in a restaurant.   So afraid that the food won't agree with me and i will get sick.   I am a coward!   I am also afraid to try any new food unless I am home...afraid of the foamies and dumping.   You take care girl and keep up the great work! Funny story Jamie,      Isn't is odd how people take it upon themselves to decide what's appropraite for us to eat? How come when we used to order the "bigger portions" they never said "I took it upon myself to exchange your ribeye steak, loaded mashed & loaf of bread with a nice piece of salmon & a salad?"  Maybe they didn't want to lose a limb. LMAO

LMAOOOOOOOOO hahahaha thats sooo funny!! Everytime we go out to eat I also get to hear *are you sure thats ALL you want?* and if I dont lick my plate clean I hear *Is something wrong with the food?* LOLOLOLOL you go girl!!! thanks for the laugh!!
