Loving my bird

I do belive Zenny and I are forming a bond. Yes he is one spoiled bird here we make sure he is where the activity is going on. Yesterday we moved him and his cage to the livingroom where we are spending lots of time playing on the xbox. Zenny likes to walk on top of his cage and watch everything. He also likes to preen Lee and I . Yesterday he was pulling beard hair off of Lee. He loves to remove my earrings and give kisses. I am so happy to have him.                                           Annie

Zenny sounds like a sweet bird and you sound like a terrific family for zenny. Enjoy, they are so fun.

Hi Pink, I am absolutly loving this bird. Working on changing him over to pellets which is a better diet than just seed. He loves dried peppers and likes to try what ever I am eattting. He got to try a little taste of mixed nut butter this morning and loved it. Me on the other hand liked it too and thought sure I can do a whole english muffin with nut butter NOPE not going to work so I just have to be happy with a half.                                             Annie PS I have a new picture of Zenny I will upload sometime today

Hi Annie! So glad that is working out for you all.  If he is preening you and Lee that is a very good sign.  It's great that you are converting him to the pellets, as they are indeed much healthier than then seed diets.  And yes, they sure do love those dried red peppers, don't they?

He is such a good boy Suzanne, He does get a little loud at times but I think it is he wants me to give him my full attention. Basically Zenny is the main focal point in the house LOL                                             Annie

I have a parrotlet named Zacheus (because he is a "wee little man").  He does not love us or give us kisses.  In fact, he pretty much hates us.  He demands that I speak to him, causes a big ruckus if I fail to speak to him whenever I pass his cage, but he listens so hard when I talk to him.  I love him and talk to him so sweetly ... and I just know that he's cursing me in bird language.  We have dogs in the house, too, and he acts like he'd love to get out of his cage and run around with them when they're running around the house.  I love having him and would miss him if he wasn't here, but he doesn't show us the love and affection you're getting from your bird.
