I know they told us to expect some hair loss at about 3-9 months and I have. I am almost 6 months out and I was wondering how long does this go on. Fortunately have alot of hair but it is a pain cleaning up hair on the bathroom floor and the shower etc. Can someone tell me how much more of this I can expect? Also, has anyone been able to eat popcorn? I really want some but it seems that I recall some people having problems with it. Thanks for all the support!!!

The shedding should start to slow down pretty soon. I'm 9 months out and don't really notice anymore than usual now. It seems like it was coming out by the handful during my 4th and 5th months and then it slowed during my 6th month.

Keep up with the protein and the vitamins ... It'll come back.

Re: Popcorn. I've been very fortunate to enjoy it. As a matter of a fact my mother was surprised that I was eating it because I used to hate it, but as my daughter said, my tastes for some things have changed.

I have just started to notice a liitle hair loss. I had it after my hernia surgery also. Can't remember how long it lasted last time. But it does stop. I did not relize it was from surgery and thought I had some kind of balding trend. I don't think it was noticeable to others. Myrtis

I also had hair loss from about 3-6 months. I noted regrowth starting around month 8. I enjoy popcorn daily. I like the 100 calorie pop bags. My Nut says just to make sure I chew good. Popcorn was the first carb that I added back to my diet. B

I'm 31/2 months out, and I'm starting to see alot more hair coming out than normal. I have been on Sublingual Biotin since surgery. I have heard it helps. If not , it won't hurt me for taking it. Like Barb said, it will stop after a few months.   Reenie

Hair Loss.... YEP... it has started for me and I'm a bit paranoid.  I take biotin every day and multi vitamin every day.  the only thing I can think of that I might not be doing daily is getting in my 60g of protein.  Please don't jump on me...I know I know.  Because of this hair fall out I'm really trying to get it all in each and every day.   I thought I had avoided this, but just at my 4 month mark...it started.  My hope is that it will stop just like everyone has said.   yikes...I wonder if I should go ahead and cut it?

I haven't had the hair loss, but for those who do have it I do believe it's short-term and the hair comes back.   I eat popcorn, but didn't start eating it for a while postop.  Can't remember exactly when that was.  I was probably at least 6 months along.  I buy the 100-calorie pop bags and chewwwwwwwwww like there's no tomorrow.  I haven't had any issues with it so far.  In fact, I think I'll go make myself a little bit right now!

I'm 5 months out and I just started losing my hair in the last month or so. It's a lot, but I just tell myself it's temporary and so worth it to be healthy. Oh and it'll be nice to have less hair when the hot summer comes, lol
