A Wow Moment I wasn't sure I'd ever see
I haven't been getting on the scale constantly anymore. I do a couple of times a week. This week I took my mother to the Dr and got on their scale in the afternoon, fully clothed and weighed 150. This morning I decided to check a la natural ... if you know what I mean? :-) and it said 148. I got off, got back on and it still said 148 ... finally, I tried a third time and it still said 148! I don't even remember how old I was the last time that I weighed 140 anything. I know that my 'ideal' weight according to my Dr is 137 ... still don't know if I'll ever see that. I had talked with my PCP and we had decided that 145 would be a good goal weight, but honestly I wasn't sure that would happen either. Now ... I'm thinking maybe it will.
I was thinking about having some new photos done, but maybe I should wait ... then, maybe not. The photos that are my avatar and profile are at about 160.
Thanks for letting me share my Wow.
Barb
P.S. My size 6 Lee Jeans fit beautifully and my size 8's are just a little big now. Who would have ever thought I'd be this small ... not me!

Hi Annie -
You make me smile! ....and your tiny person is starting to peak her tiny head out.
Thanks for asking about my mother. She's doing okay. She fell on the front walk on the way into the house and bruised her legs and knees and arm. My real concern is that she's so unsteady and it's been getting worse over the years. On top of that she was diagnosed with moderate to severe osteoperosis in her hips and femur, which just scares the heck out of me. I just love our Dr and he's referred her to a Balance Clinic at Rex, the Cardiologist and she's going to have her cataracts worked on. Hopefully, this will help. She'll also start an exercise program. Mom has her hands full with medical problems and I want her to live as well as possible. I'm hoping that these interventions will help her.
Thanks again for asking.
Love,
Barb

You are so right! So many firsts! The first 20 lbs. The first size change. The first time entering onderland. The first time I could tie my shoes and breathe at the same time. The first time I could wear clothes without a W in front of the size. The first time I could wear single digit sizes... So many and happening in such a relatively short time.
This journey has been such a miracle and a blessing for all of us.
Thanks again friend,
Barb
