The past two weeks I have been breaking out in a sweat all of a sudden mainly in the wee hours of the morning. I will be 49 on my birthday in May so I am assuming I am going through the change. Going to get a natural remedy to start with which I prefere and see how I do with that. I had my FSH level done a month before my surgery and was told my number was 9 to be in menapause your number has to to be 40 or higher. I also know fat has lots of estrogen in it so I am thinking now I am loosing fat the FSH level will be different.                                      Annie

I know my doctor just started me on estrogen because he said that I will be in a flat spin with hot flashes, ect...when the weight starts falling off.  But you have to take a progestrone with estrogen to balance them off.  So I have just started taking both.  (bhrt).  I haven't had to take anything to date but my numbers show I am post menapause.  I'd talk to your obgyn doctor if I were you.

I tell ya...  I was just thinking about this about an hour ago.  I break out into a horrible sweat when I do alot of walking.  I'm not talking jumpin on the treadmill and walking 2 miles...  I mean just a trip in the grocery store.  MANnnnn.  I was sweating like it was 4th of July!  Look at the weather today...bigtime overcast here in Charlotte area and only 50 degrees.  I know it is probably my body still catching up with my weightloss.  I feel like I have to shower when I have an episode like this.  I hate it!  I wonder if I'm going into a "change"??  I think if this continues to happen I'll have to call the dr.  I HATE TO SWEAT!!!  eewwweee.

Hi Connie, I normally dont sweat either main reason southern women glow LOL Oh my the thought of sweating. I bought some ESTROVEN yesterday and it says it would take up to 30 days to get the full benefits from it. Well it seemed to help last night. I also did take another caplet before going to bed.                                            Annie

I will be 53 next month and my menses still have not stopped.  About 4 years ago, I started with heavy duty night sweats wherein the sheets were soaked!  With all the scare with hormones causing other issues, my doc put me on Zoloft and said that it helps in most cases and reduces the symptoms by 50%.  Since that time I have not had any night sweats.  It has also helped tremendously with hot flashes as i don't have the full blown ones.....only a flushed feeling to my face and hot ears. Take care and good luck! Pam

Hi Annie -

I'd check with my PCP or OB, but if you remember, I was going crazy for a while with hot flashes. They've really abated now though.
