There are angels among us who work in the back ground and I am so grateful. I got to go to Perkins thanks to Barb and Ben. I enjoyed meeting Ben he really is like a bulldog Barb LOL Thank you both so much for making sure I got to go to the meetup today. We had a packed room today and it was great to see new and old faces. I learned some valuable info about carbs today. Going to start counting those carbs more I think this will help. Great meetup today.                                                         Annie

I agree, it was a good meeting.  I plan on making these as often as I can.  I might not come for the walks (that would be difficult with the little ones...) but I'll do what I can. Thanks to Barb for organizing this.

Andrea, Great to see you today. Thank you for your kind offer to come pick me up. The walking thing sounds great and if the babies are a problem maybe a stroller that people use to jog with. I will be glad to help push one of your babies on a walk.                                           Annie PS I am getting better using the ET I am up to 15 minutes a day

That's super!  Those ET's are *not* easy at all..  I'm back to using one at the Y and 20 min this morning just about killed me. I'll see if it's logistically sound.. we have a cheap umbrella stroller that Kaitlin could sit in.. and a heavy-duty stroller Daniel can lie in.. So maybe it's possible if someone walks one of the two.  We looked at the doubles, but just couldn't ever find one we liked.

Andrea, That is great you are going to the Y just a little each time will help and before you know it you will be doing 30 minutes. When I started on the ET I was only able to do 3 minutes now I can do 15. I would love to help with one of your children. Since I dont have children it would be special to be able to do that.                                           Annie

Hi Andrea -

I know that I and the rest of the group were delighted to meet you and look forward to getting to know you better. Like Annie, I'd be glad to help with the little ones on a walk too. I even have a stroller that we could use if need be.

I'll see you next month!

I really appreciate this offer..  It's pretty cool of you and Annie to offer :-)  Having two definately keeps me on my toes these days! BTW - I'm doing a weight loss challenge over on the preggie board, and part of my goals was to establish myself in some support groups.  There's one in Rocky Mount I'm going to try that meets on the 1st Tues of each month.. but my other one is the one that met yesterday :-)  So y'all are part of my road to recovery. And it's working, too.

Hi LorieAnne, I am so glad you joined our group today. I know I get emotinal and it drives me crazy but I do feel it is so important to share our journeys with others.                                      Annie

Annie, it was so great to meet you!  I know it can be frustrating to get emotional, but you eloquently expressed what many of us feel.  As you said, it's strange that we don't notice how little of our lives we're living when we are morbidly obese, and the chance to have a new lease on life gets most of us a little choked up now and then.
