Psych follow up today

Okay, I was supposed to go back to the psych at 2 today!! Well i go (leave work early) and get there 40 miles later, to find out that she is not there today!! Noone bothered to call and let me know. The receptionist wanted me to wait until 3 weeks until I came back again, and I was determined not to wait that long. I understand that things come up, but they could have called and let me know something. Instead she told me that because she only needed to see me for about 20 minutes, that I could come Friday morning at 8. I am so mad!! I am not mad that she wasn't there, just because noone bothered to call or anything! Sorry for the long whine, but I had to get this off of my chest. So hopefully, she will be there Friday, and I can get this all behind me, and Finally start my journey.  Thank you all for listening, keep your fingers crossed until Friday now. Danielle

I;m sorry you had a bad day, I'm stressed myself I went two weeks ago for my psyc evauation and nutrition evaluation and i am just waiting for them to call me for my decision appt. This process can really be frustrating escpecially when you are ready to get it done.  Hopefully things will get better for us both though!!!

Danielle, I am so sorry no one called you.  That makes me mad, too!  It's funny that they'll charge you for not calling if you can't make it, but when they aren't there...oh well...can you rearrange your life and schedule again and come back in 3 weeks.  Ridiculous!  I've made appointments before, showed up early, and still didn't see the doctor until 2 hours after my appointment was scheduled.   Argh!  I know things come up, too, but this is supposed to be a professional business they're running. Sometimes I wish we could charge them for our time.  Sorry, maybe I'm being a little mean-spirited (this is one of my pet peeves).  Let's move on... There is hope!  Friday will be here soon and you'll be on your way!  I hope everything goes smoothly.  Good Luck! Amanda

I know how you feel my Psyc Eval was supposed to be in late December but he had a "Family Situation" and the next appt. was March 6th........ I was very angry that they did not call. I missed a whole day of work etc.....

I would have went off on them. They want you to call when you can't come in. I expect the same respect. Yeah I would have went off bad....

Thank you all. She was bound and determined that I was going to come back in 3 weeks. I told her that this was not my fault, and I was not waiting 3 weeks. So then she said well I don't know how long she needs to see you. I looked at her and said, this appt was being scheduled in between her others, she told me that it would only take 20-30 min. Then she said, well i guess she can see you Friday at 8. When I go Friday, if she cant see me, I will see someone else. I left there yesterday, so mad. I called my mom, and just cried, b/c I was so mad. I guess I got my hopes up for nothing. So maybe Friday is my day. Then maybe I can start my journey to wait to see Dr. Nazari, Hopefully that wont take that long. Does anybody know how long it normally takes? I have been cleared from everything else for at least 1 month!! Thanks   Danielle

Hi Danielle.  I know this was super frustrating.  If you can't get to see her on Friday, ask about seeing Dr. Albrecht.  He is the one I saw on Monday and he's in the same practice.  I guess our session took about 45 minutes, but it was my first visit.  After he gave me approval, I asked how long it would be before Southern Surgical would have his sign-off and he said by the end of the week.  Since you've been before, she shoudn't need that much time with you.  I'd definitely demand to be seen by someone before leaving that day.   Good luck and remember...we're almost there!  LorieAnne
