We are going to Duke this morning for my lazer treatment of my rosacia (sp) and unwanted facial hair. I am a little nervous now second guessing am I doing the right thing. Going to hold my head up and just do it. I do like and trust the doctor and so I feel safe in his hands. Will check back in when I get home.                                                Annie PS on my walk yesterday I did what I call heart attack hill but before I did it I told myself "this is for Cosmic Kelly". I will call and check on her this morning on my way to Duke

It is never too late to be what you might have been.?

I back and I will tell anyone intrested in this it is not pain free. When they started working on my upper lip that is when I got tearful. I have to return in May to have more donebut the doctor gave me some numbing cream to use the next time. While the doctor was doing his thing I was thinking we sure do go through alot to look good. Right now my cheeks are purple but not bad enough to stop me from shopping at HT. I am tired so I plan on taking it easy the rest of the day.                                      Annie

Hello, Brave Annie! I'm glad you got back and are going to rest up ... but sorry to hear it wasn't pain-free.  They should warn you about that beforehand!!   And promise numbing cream BEFORE the procedure!  Perhaps we could offer that doctor some specialty waxing services as a fair reward, huh?

Annie, Hope you are not in too much pain. If it hurts, I guess it will not be for me.  I don't do well with pain.  Great work on the big hill. Sunday we walked all the way around our pasture fence up and down hills and across the creek. It made me want to hike again like did when I was young. I think in the not to distant future I will get my girld and head to the mountains to go on some of  the trails. Best to you Myrtis

Hi Myrtis, That is great about you walking around the pasture. That sounds like a wonderful place to hike. The pain was only for a few minutes I am not in any pain or discomfort right now I have not been since I have been home. The painful part was the hair removal from my upper lip with the lazer that was not fun. I am more than willing to go through this a couple more times to get the results I want. Next time I will have the numbing cream. Dont let my experince stop you or anyone else. BTW we have decided to take a river cruise out west in October and delay the Grand canyon trip but this is subject to change before October.                                         Annie

Good for you Annie!  I'm sorry you had pain, but am glad that you're not hurting anymore.  I get my upper lip waxed and that makes me tear up.  I can only imagine how the laser feels.  Yes, the pain we go through, huh?  Well, I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.  Thanks for doing the leg work for all of us and letting us know how it went! Oh, and congrats on heart attack hill!  You just seem to be doing more and more every day!  My dad and I could probably drive up your way some time next week to deliver the clothes.  Let me know what your schedule is, OK?
