Things went relatively well.  I got home today about 1PM after the Doc cleared me.  No problems except a shortage of beds which left me in recovery until 4AM after a 2PM surgery.  I'll update more later, my belly is sooooooooo sore from the gas! Thanks everyone!

Well, it sounds like you've cleared the biggest hurdle. I'll bet you are glad to be home. Be sure to walk every hour you are awake and to sip, sip, sip. The walking is important because it will help keep your circulation moving and reduce the possibility of an embolism. It will also go a long towards helping with the discomfort from the gas. Sipping constantly is important because you need to be very careful not to become dehydrated.

Welcome to the loser's bench!

Welcome Home!  Keep walking and walking.  I found sleeping in the recliner more comfortable for a while.  Everytime I was in the bed I could feel it if my husband just turned slightly and it was uncomfortable espically on the left side.  It'll take time.  He was impressed though, Hee Hee that for the first month I much better farts than his!  Oh the side effects LOL.
