Does anyone know if insurance pays for plastic surgery after bypass? I didnt think so til someone I work with had bypass surgery and said our insurance will pay for post WLS patients.

You have to check your individual plan - also check what their requirements are... many insurance companies require you be 18 months out or further - and sometimes they limit what procedures they will cover - i.e. only covering a panni and not a TT. My insurance plan doesnt cover plastic surgery for post-WLS patients :-(

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)

Scar revision on arms - 3/2015

For me I am having skin removed due to rashes and terrible infection caused by rubbing skin, this is different to a tummy tuck , but I am happy for what I am getting. It never hurts to try , good luck
