Hi NC...I'm post surgery almost two years (Mar 17 06)...a lot has happened...I met and married a wonderful man (Mar 25 07) after surgery for a ruptured disc in Sept 06 which was pretty difficult...overall lost 100 pounds before initiating a bout with infertility treatment and am blessed to report we conceived via IVF in Aug of 07 and I'm due about a month past my two year gbs anniversary on April 22nd.  It's been a really wild and wonderful ride since initiating the surgery and so worth it. I've been amazed at pregnancy and was initially afraid I wouldn't be able to eat enough...but then discovered I've had no problem eating...I've gained 27 pounds at 33 weeks!  I only wanted to gain about 25...I've been told on the pregnancy forum that you really can eat more during pregnancy and my pouch will go back to normal after birth...something to do possibly with the relaxin hormone...I can buy that and so hope it is true that I will go back to normal afterward...or close to post-surgery normal anyway...Anyone have any experiences where they worried during pregnancies about losing the weight or being able to eat post surgery normal again?...also anyone out there from a couple of years ago? I'm wondering how everyone is doing?

Hi Jamey -

I'm relatively new ... and past pregnancy issues, but I wanted to welcome you back to the NC board and look forward to getting to know you.

Congratulations on your upcoming blessing.
