Just a little wow ...

I took my daughter in to the orthodontist for her monthly visit. Mind you, I've been doing this for a couple of years now. At any rate, the gal that manages the office looked at me, ****ed her head to the side and said "My goodness you look great! Have you lost some weight?" I smiled and said "Well, maybe. I've been stuck for a while, but it looks like the scales have given up a couple in the past couple of days." She said "A couple!! You look amazing! What did you do?" Now remember, I've been coming to this office for a couple of years ... but basically, she and then the orthodontist just realized I'd lost weight! They just saw me last month and I haven't lost that much since then ... On the other hand, I wasn't wearing a jacket or sweater ... I just had on a T-Shirt and Jeans. It's funny how people sometimes don't see the changes as they occur and then all of a sudden the light bulb turns on.

Barlb....one thing my doc told me that makes sense is that if you get to goal without revision for skin removal, you are probably 10 to 20 lbs underweight as that is how much the excess skin will weigh. Take care, Pam

How funny! You are right though-- sometimes it takes a little longer for some people's "light bulb"   to come on. Congrats on the kudos, Barb!!!

That is hilarious!  I have the same thing happen.. Random people walk up and say something stupid like... "Jennifer.. you look a little different.. have you changed your hair?"  Yeah.. WHATEVEA!  LOL Then some people don't even recognize me.  it is odd.
