I started taking Metamucil wafers which I refere to has my daily coookies LOL I thought they were helping but I found if I miss one day of not taking them I am not a happy girl. This morning I took two ducalax tablets and cant remember if they are addictive like laxitives. So please send some advice it would be a good thing.                                       Annie Will not step on that scale unless I feel like everything is normal LOL

I am not sure about the ducolax... I know many people like the miralax stuff thou. Early out I use to use the benefiber powder - you can add it to anything and it really has no flavor. My only other suggestion - are you getting enough fiber in your diet? If you have trader joes they sell high fiber muffins (or they may be called cakes) that have 13g of insoluable fiber in them - they will definately keep things flowing... also getting in the 2 servings of fruits/veggies each day and at least 1 serving of whole grains helps. I find too much dairy and not enough fiber makes things start getting backed up.

Hi Jennifer, That is a great suggestion about the muffins at Trader Joes I am going to make a point of going there this week. As far as too much dairy I dont have to much except for a few ounces of spreadable cheese on whole wheat crackers. I am always working on getting veggies in and fruits but as you know I always work on filling the pouch first with protien which dosent leave much room for anything else. I have not tried ceral and milk yet just to scared but I did find I can eat dry cereal without much trouble. I was thinking about getting some crackling bran cereal. I did buy some quaker oat squares but will try the muffins too.                                            Annie

I can certainly sympathize with you Annie, been there and it will always be a problem for me.  The 2 things that I think have worked for me are taking colace twice a day and miralax every 3-4 days.  It works great in coffee or hot tea.  You can't tell it's in there, no taste or grit. It's kinda expensive but I found it at Sams and BJs.  I still don't GO but about twice a week, which for me is probably about as normal as I'll ever get.  I had this problem before surgery and my nurse said that I would probably have the same problem afterwards, and he was right. Good luck!  Alice

Thanks Alice I plan on getting some Mirlax tomorrow never had thie problem before except far and few. I am still doing my protien bars every morning but have stopped the Met RX because of my sinsitivity to suga alcohol it made me dump so maybe I should go back on MetRX to help with the other problem.                                                          Annie

Colace twice a day is my friend!   I actually use the Wal-Mart generic brand.   I have also tried eating 10-12 natural almonds a day.  That works too.

Thanks for the input Ruby. Plan on having some raw baby carrots with my salmon tonight. Popcorn in the small bags help me too.                                    Annie
