Totals for carbs and fats

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times, but does anyone know how many carbs, fats, etc we should have each day. I am using Fitday and I am not sure if I am eating right. Thanks, Barbara

Barbara,

I see you have Dr. B!  He is so great. I would tell you to call your nutritionist in the morning....because every program is different and I know how much they at Dr.  B's office want us on the plan they give us....and from what I am told it can be slightly different for everyone.  :)

As stated above you really have to check with your surgeon/NUT for guidelines - we are all given different guidelines based not only on surgeon/NUTs preference but based on the types of surgery we had - typically with RNY the more bypassed the more is required nutritionally. Also the amounts you need should change many times over the first 6 months... as you heal and your pouch relaxes you will eat more.

First visit to surgeon - 288 ~ bmi 45.1
2 week pre-op 252 ~ bmi 39.5
Total lost - 153 Since surgery - 117!
Goal weight - 155 (mine) 180 (surgeons)
Current weight - 135 (2020 I lost 10lbs due to dedicating myself to working out more and being in better shape)

1/14/2025 still maintaining 135 :-)
