tamiflu

So as we all know the flu is ravaging our state....  How many of you have had the flu, have the flu, or are already experiencing flu symptoms?  Did you or are you taking tamiflu?  Did it work?   My whole office has been diagnosed with the flu (5 people diagnosed), and yesterday I started getting achey.  So I got my doctor to call in some tamiflu for me.  He said to wait until this morning to take it.  Then tomorrow take 2...  and if on Sunday I still felt "it coming" then I don't have the flu and to come in on Monday...   So I took the pill this morning and we will see how I am feeling on Sunday.  I am just curious if anyone else has taken the tamiflu and if it really does work or not....  I have to get on a plane in a week and I REFUSE to be sick!! 

Have never had to actually take it but every year I get scripts filled for it so that I have it in the house if the BUG STRIKES! Gotta be ready! A couple of years ago there was a shortage and the way this seasons epiemic is going...wanna be safe!

Where you been, girl?  I have missed you!!!  Yes, they are dropping like flies where I work as well...  I remain in denial, convincing myself I am impervious to such things as flu!  (I can feel another lesson in humility coming on...)  Don't know anything about tamiflu but will be interested in the experiences of others. Sure hope you don't come down with it.  When I last got a real case of the FLU was back in the early 70s when I was in grad school and I was in bed and out of it totally for about a week!  I was one sick puppy and don't wish that on anyone!  On the other hand, I did lose a bunch of weight!  LOL Good to hear from you.  WHere are you flying?

A coworker at school came down with the flu--she was tested at the Doctor's office.  They gave her Tamiflu and she said it worked like a charm.  She still had some head cold symptoms but it broke the flu.   I have strep throat compliments of my grandson and I have now taken my third antibiotic.  This one was in the tush.   

I have been on Tamiflu since yesterday morning. I take one capsule twice a day for 10 days. The little boy I keep during the day has type A flu. I started feeling bad and the doctor started our whole family on the medicine. Yesterday was rough but today I feel much better. Mostly I feel like I have a head cold.
