I just wanted to touch base with my friends :) and tell ya I am still alive...LOL
I know it's only been a week, but since that week I have been on my complete
liquid Optifast diet and I am STILL here!! Today is exactly a week from starting and
you were right it does get easier!! 1 more week and I CANNOT WAIT!!! I have been locking myself in a bedroom while my hubby cooks supper so I don't have to smell it!!!
I am looking forward to being able to have pureed soups...LOL I CANNOT WAIT!!!
I do find that I feel better on a daily basis, since i have "detoxed" I haven't had a headache all week, that is AMAZING as i would have serveral a week! But I don't feel that I have the energy that I wish I had to get my house ready for my mom to come *sigh* what do ya do, right!!
I am proud of myself though and so is my hubby He is GREAT!!!
Oh and this morning I woke up to the WORST dream...I dreamt that we were sitting at Applebees with a bunch of friends 2 DAYS BEFORE SURGERY..and I cut into a juicy steak and had mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans and it was half way into the steak that I snapped and realized   OMG they are going to cancel my surgery, OMG i am eating I cant be eating...LOL My surgery is off because they will know that I ate steak, it won't be out of my system!!!
I literally woke up to make sure I wasn't sitting at Applebee's it was SO REAL!! Yeah I am pathetic I am starting to have food dreams, kind of like when your pregnant you have lots of dreams about babies!!! Has anyone else had dreams about food?? hehe WEll I would love to hear from everyone and any encouragement is always welcomed :)

Howdy and nice to meet ya!!! I don't think I've had the pleasure yet!!  I just wanted to reassure you that food dreams (with me anyway) were a BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG part of this surgery!!!  I didn't have time before surgery cause my doctor popped the date on me.  (It was Monday and the surgery was Wednesday!! )  lol  BUT, after the surgery I had all kinds of strange dreams!!  THE BEST, (or worst, cause it showed how much I love food lol) was,  I LOVE SPAGHETTI!!  Always have, it's my favorite food!  I can't eat it yet, but the dream was....  I was on a really high bridge walking around, I bent over the side to look at the water below and fell off.  I grabbed onto.. you ready for this?? YIP, A PIECE of SPAGHETTI!!!  My husband was on the bridge screaming to me did I need help, and I calmly said NOOOOOOOOOOO, I'LL EAT MY WAY UP!!!  LMAO!!!   Now, that is sad baby!!! lol Anyway, thought I'd make you laugh!!  Hope it did!!   Connie

THAT WORM'S GONNA GET IT RIGHT IN THE HEAD SOON!!

Hey, STRANGER!!!!LOL  Glad to see you're still with us!!!  I'm so happy to hear things are getting easier for you!!  When my hubby was a mount. dew drinker, he would get a lot of headaches, too!  When your body is used to having a constant flow of caffiene and then you don't have it for a few hours, you usually get a headache from the withdraw.   I know this might sound really weird, but if you go and get some walking in, you will get more energy!  It really helps!  One week from today!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm so happy for you!!! You're gonna do GREAT!!  Isn't funny how the foods that you would normally turn your nose up at, you are now soooo looking forward to!!LOL  When you get to eat food again, you will really really taste it, instead of just sucking it down.  If you need anything, call me!  I get my second fill on Tues, and I get my "official" weightloss total!!!  WAHOOO!!!!!  I'm hoping to drop 50 more lbs by then!!LOL  I wish!!!!!!!!!!! Andrea

I understand what you mean about locking yourself in your room during dinner ... Like you I'm married to a great guy who was a phenominal support to me ... Hopefully, I'll get to return the favor this summer.

It will get easier and it will all be sooo worth it. Don't worry too much about the house. Mom is there to take care of you.

You will be amazed as you continue on your journey at just how much energy you will have. It may take a while, but I found that I could literally feel the weight lifting off of me.

Hang in there kiddo!

We've got a seat on the loser's bench waiting with your name on it ... Looks like you are already on your way!

Hugs,

Barb

Hey Jami!! I had to laugh when I read Lotawoman's post because spaghetti is my thang.  I love it in Italian dishes and Chinese dishes. (lo mein) I love it so much...I'm starting to sound like Dr. Seuss!  I've only dreamt about eating food once-chicken wings. When I woke up, I had literally bitten a chunk out of my finger. Went thru several layers of skin. I'll show you the scar sometime!! I'm doing the liquid diet myself just to prove to myself that I can stick to it and lose something. I've found that it gets SO MUCH EASIER after about the 4th day.  I don't have to think about what or where I'm going to eat.  In fact, I've had a problem remembering to eat. I feel so much better now!! Kelly :)

Down 65.6 lbs  WITHOUT surgery!!

This diet ticker is of my overall weightloss since 2/16/08.

Jami......good to see you again!!!  Your dream usually would have made me think, "yum, that sounds sooooo good, I've GOT to go out to eat tonight", but It's sooooooo nice since surgery it's totally different, going out really doesn't have the same appeal.  I had food dreams after surgery, so you're not alone there.  Hey, dreams don't make your liver bigger, so dream on girl!!!!!  Hang in there- it's going to be sooooooooooo worth it!!!!!!!!!! Nancy
