New support group ... Suggestions for a name?

Hi All -

This started out as a support group for 1:1, face-to-face meetings, but it looks like it's also going to be virtually active ... That being the case the original name for this group ... Triangle Support Group ... doesn't seem to be very representative. So, I'm up for suggestions. Other groups are designated by things like location, but there are also names that suggest a state of mind ... Mariposa, Reflections ... or specialty groups like Band of Distinction or Men's Locker Room. I'm open to suggestions.

You could go with the standard NC descriptive: "Tarheel Support Group" It's pretty basic, used by everyone, not very creative.. but it's descriptive.

I like it! Common, but accurately clarifies all of us as being North Carolinians without saying that!!! :)

Not being a true North Carolinian ... I've never warmed up to the moniker, but it might be worth trying.

I'm also wondering about something that addresses the journey or metamorphosis rather than the location.

How about Carolina Butterflies?  Its where we live, and butterflies come out of their chunky, lumpy, gray cocoons to become BRIGHT and BEAUTIFUL  lol

Something along that line occured to me too ... having to do with transformation, since that's what this is all about ... transforming our bodies, our minds, our lives ... hmmmm ... i'm liking the tone of this.

My other thought had to do with the journey ... maybe this is perpetual journey, not a destination. I'm not sure I thought of it that way when I started. I think I thought that the journey had a destination ... Getting slimmer and healthier, but now I'm beginning to think that this is a perpetual journey through the rest of my life. With that in mind, metaphors that allude to the journey at hand keep coming up for me ... the yellow brick road, a river, a boat ...

Thanks for you suggestion ... I like it.
