Do you have a goal for weightloss for Memorial Day??  Just 13 weeks away!  I'm praying to lose 29lbs by then!  How much are you planning on losing, or what are you planning to do to improve your health??  (Notice how I worded that??LOL  If the question was how much do you want to lose, I would have said 100 lbs!!!!!;)  Have a blessed day!   Andrea

Hey Andrea!

Great post! My first inclination when I saw the subj lines was "What!? ... Do I have my dates wrong?" LOL

Since I'm not really on the losing side anymore, I think my goals are going to be more about accountability issues. I want to be walking a min of 2 miles a day by Memorial Day. I know that probably seems lame to some, but for me I think it's realistic. I also plan to keep my wieght within 3 lbs of my current weight of 151.

Thanks for giving me a place to say it out loud!

Hugs,

Barb

I'm pre-op but I'm really stepping out on a limb here and planning on having my insurance approval and surgery date set by them.   - Iris

Wow.  As a newbie (just a little over four weeks out), it feels so weird to trust that such a wildly optimistic goal is also realistic ... but here goes: By Memorial Day, I plan to be 30 pounds lighter and be walking 45-60 minutes a day.

Yeah, it IS really weird.  I'm still not fully able to wrap my mind around it.  But every day, my clothes get a little looser and I feel so much better.  I wonder how long it takes for people to really trust that this works for us -- because it seems that so many of us worry that we'll be the statistical fall guy for whom this doesn't work! Let's definitely keep checking in on this goal.  What a great summer we can all have.  Thank you for setting our thoughts to a date that far ahead -- what a refreshing change from day-to-day fretting. BTW, your new avatar is absolutely ADORABLE!!

I'm having a physical therapy evaluation on Wednesday. I'll be able to set more realistic goals after having met with the therapist. As far as my WLS goes, I am still in the initial stages of getting acceptance. I have a sleep study tonight. Going to "Appetite Awareness Training" on March 4th. And am waiting to hear when my ABG-PST is.  They had scheduled the ABG-PST for Wednesday, BUT...My labs were a little off this month (due to the liquid diet, I think) and I have to get an iron infusion.  They said they didn't want to do the ABG-PST until I had the iron infusion because low iron might affect the results. Kelly :)

Down 65.6 lbs  WITHOUT surgery!!

This diet ticker is of my overall weightloss since 2/16/08.
