I'm doing much better. I feel like I have had alot of false starts but I'm hoping to be on the go now for good. I'm still fighting infection. The newest site is my incision for my umbilical hernia repair. It continues to get infected and open, and I have been septic from the infection. My surgeon thinks that my body is rejecting the permanent stitches that he used and if the incision continues to break open over the next month, he will schedule me for surgery so he can take the stitches out! ( Ouch! That is not how I want to spend future days!) I came back to work on Jan 30, worked 3 days and got this umbilical hernia incision infection with sepsis and had to be out of work another week and a half. I really am hoping that I don't have to be out of work again for a while. And I definitely don't want any more surgery for a long time. As a matter of fact, right this minute, NEVER for another surgery sounds wonderful! LOL I may change my mind in a few years when I lose all my weight if I want to tighten up my skin, but right this minute, I don't even want to think about That! :-o I miss my OH friends. You look absoulutely fabulous. I have lost 33 lbs so far. I have a new pic but I need to post some more. I know your husband is very motivated by how wonderful you are doing and how great you look. I hope that everything works out for him. Love, Bobbie

Bobbie -

I'm so very sorry to hear of your challenges. I hope that all will heal gently without any further intervention by your surgeon.

Your weight loss is wonderful and I look forward to continuing to watch you climb down the mountain ... so to speak.

Thanks again for you lovely well wishes.

Warmly,

Barbara

This is great news Barb, I am so happy for you and Ben both. I think a future second honeymoon will be in order after his surgery.                                    Annie

Thank Alice -

We still need all the prayers we can get because we are far from the home stretch here. Basically, Duke has said that they still don't think it will be covered and that I should understand that we may very will be 'throwing away' our application fee and the psych fees, but I've talked with UHC til I'm blue in the face and I believe them when they tell me that he'll be covered as long as we follow protocol and he meets the medical necessity criteria. So with faith, we proceed.

Thanks again,

Barb
