A learning curve

Well I am still sooo bloated but all in all do feel better. I had an incident today while sipping on some broth. I was sipping and watching tv and all of a sudden broth backed up into my throat and mouth. I coughed and swallowed on reflex. I guess I was full, hard way to find out! I did not feel full at the time but since that have been full feeling for over 3 hours. I don't want this to happen again. I didn't feel full so my question is how do I know when to stop? There's the learning curve. You can read and become educated but until you experience it, it's all just a thought.

Liquids usually go right thru the band.  Make sure you are not sipping in air with your liquids.  That incident you had today might have been because you had some air in there that needed to come out.  You'll get the hang of it!!  I'm still learning, too!  Best wishes to you! Andrea

I remember being post op and being VERY tight. You belly is swallon and getting things down might be hard, just be careful until the swelling goes down.  Congrats on getting your surgery!

Thanks ladies - I'm still so bloated that I'm finding it hard to tell if I'm full. I guess that was a sure sign...lol!
